My 5-year-old daughter turns out to be a big fan of singing some of the songs and dad kind of digs &#8216;em too. This one&#8217;s the tab for Kiss Quick.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve updated the tabs below a couple of times now as it&#8217;s become a bit of a group project with a couple of folks over at <a href="http://www.prettytheworld.com/index.php?m=members&amp;c=beheardviewthread&amp;loc=news&amp;thread=548">prettytheworld.com</a>. Some of which have worked hard at getting this song figured out and a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z72VpbdT8Mc&amp;sns=em">new video</a> has shown up that really helps in confirming things. Anyway, here&#8217;s my latest version which builds on mannion14&#8242;s off PTW.<span id="more-1012"></span></p>
<p><strong>Standard tuning with capo on 4th fret</strong><br />

This is one of my favorite singer/songwriter type of songs from Glen and it&#8217;s one that he wrote together with Damien Rice. Since this is more of a strummy acoustic song, I&#8217;ve decided to just share how I think he plays it (from what I was able to see from my balcony view at <a href="http://gusperez.com/wp/2008/05/01/the-swell-season-live-at-the-moore/">the show a couple of nights ago</a>) by listing out the chords up front and then laying them down on top of the lyrics. Anyway, hope this helps all of you old and new fans of one of my favorites.</p>
<p><span id="more-261"></span></p>
<pre>Verse Chords:

    E5 C#/Dbm9 Badd11 Aadd9
E --0---0-------0------0--------------------
B --0---0-------0------0--------------------
G --9---8-------8------6--------------------
D --9---9-------9------7--------------------
A --7---7-------9------7--------------------
E --0---9-------7------5--------------------

Chorus and Outro Chords:

    C#m/E B5 A5 F#11 E G#
E --0-----0---0---0-----0---4------------
B --5-----0---0---0-----0---4------------
G --6-----4---2---3-----1---5------------
D --6-----4---2---4-----2---6------------
A --4-----2---0---4-----2---6------------
E --0-----0---x---2-----0---4------------

E5 C#/Dbm9
I can't wait forever is all that you said
Badd11 Aadd9
Before you stood up
E5
And you won't disappoint me
C#/Dbm9
I can do that myself
Badd11 Aadd9
But I'm glad that you've come

Now if you don't mind

C#m/E B5
Leave, leave,
A5
And free yourself at the same time
C#m/E B5
Leave, leave,
A5
I don't understand, you've already gone

E5
And I hope you feel better
C#/Dbm9
Now that it's out
Badd11 Aadd9
What took yo----ou so long
E5
And the truth has a habit
C#/Dbm9
Of falling out of your mouth
Badd11 Aadd9
But now that it's come

If you don't mind

C#m/E B5
Leave, leave,
A5
And please yourself at the same time
C#m/E B5
Leave, leave,
A5
Let go of my hand

You said what you have to now
C#m/E B5
Leave, leave,
A5
Let go of my hand

You said what you came to now
C#m/E B5 F#11
Leave, le-----------eave,
C#m/E B5
Leave, leave,
    F#11
Let go of my hand

You said what you have to now

<p>The Open E tuning made figuring this one out significantly harder for me (my tuning experimentation involves all of dropping down a half step and I rarely even do that) so I set off on some searches and found good starting points. Eventually, I found this <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIhD8_EEisA" target="_blank">great video</a> though which turned out to pretty much dead on as far as I can tell. I still didn&#8217;t see it tabbed anywhere to this extent so I figured I&#8217;d get it down and easier to find. Also, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/travestees" target="_blank">Travestees</a>, who made the very helpful video, has also recorded <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5jhr-LofHY" target="_blank">a video of himself playing the actual song</a> which is also worth checking out.</p>

<p><strong>Update</strong>: Just ran across a video of Glen playing it and I actually got to see how he plays it. Updated the tab to play the open A string instead of the E string on the fifth fret. Minor but worth updating&#8230;</p>

Anyway, I ended up tabbing out the main notes (sans bends and most slides) to the solo and now felt like sharing. The chords to the song are pretty much E, A, and C#m straight through in standard tuning.</p>
