The nice little SearchHistory WordPress plug-in has helped me realize there are a few folks coming to my site in search of a couple of apps I wrote years ago called NameTag and NameTray. They were similar to the UpTime apps except that they displayed the computer’s name instead of the system’s up time.
Unfortunately, I’ve lost both of those apps and can’t find the source code for them anywhere either. I searched a few times to see if anyone was still hosting them but came up empty. If you still have a version of it, please let me know and I’ll get it back up on this site since it’s clear some still find it useful. In the meantime (which might be forever), this post at least should come up for those who search for either app instead of the previous “no results.”

I have nametray, sending to you via email.
i need your current email address to send the file, the one at opus80 no longer works.
Awesome. I’ll shoot you a mail but it’s gus (at) gusperez (dot) com. Thanks Tommie!
Sent! Hope you enjoy
Ihave nametag running on one of my PCs, is thathelpful in any way to you? Is there a folder or something that I could zip up for you or is that useless?
Hi Jason, yes, I’ve recovered a copy of nametray but haven’t found a copy of nametag yet. It would be great if you could send me a copy of the .exe (I’m guessing it was nametag.exe). Just send it to gus gusperez (dot) com. Thanks!
was cleaning up my system and I ran across a file named NameTag – Version 1.1 (32,768 bytes), and I needed to know what it was used for before I refiled it. So, if everything looks good, send me so instructions. Good luck
