Being from Miami and having been through several significant hurricanes in the past I totally underestimated the storm we just experienced up in the pacific northwest a couple of days ago. The winds on their own weren’t that bad for the most part but the crazy amount of trees we have up here makes it significantly more harrowing.

I headed out the day after it hit and took some photos of some of the fallen trees and damage. I’ve shared the photos via a flickr set here. A big thanks to the power crews out there still getting everyone’s power back on. Twas a cold day and a half for us but it’s all back to normal now for us who were clearly some of the lucky ones based on what I’m seeing on the local news now.
