Hi Matt, I have my doubts that they'd be able to update your phone's firmware over the air as it's pretty much a full new OS install for the two updates I've so far installed on my Q (the only two I know of that are out). The behavior you describe though is the same I have now. You might want to check your firmware version and compare it to the various versions used for each of the updates. I'm guessing you can find that info somewhere on the Motorola site or on qusers.com somewhere.

I have an 04 TL that was fine until 2 days ago when I started have problems with outgoing calls. Up until now, my Moto Q would issue the hangup beep after I dialed and issed the "Call" command, but it would work fine. On Monday, it started to transfer to the phone right after issuing the hangup beep, and then I have to issue a transfer to get it back to the car. I have changed nothing, but I wonder if Verizon can issue updates to my phone over the air.

I just picked up a TL S Type and I am experiencing the same issues. I always have to issue a transfer no matter what when placing an outbound call. But I have no issues for incoming calls. Let me know if anyone figures this out.

You're actually right AJ. I've actually been experiencing what you're describing about half of the time now. I've ended up just being ready to issue a "Transfer" command a few seconds after it routes the call back to my phone. I've been meaning to post about my latest troubles with the Q but just haven't gotten around to it... Will do soon but wanted you to know I'm not actually any luckier than you with this problem... :)

Seems like you're a lucky one. I installed the latest update on my Q, and now whenever I try to make a call I get the dropped call tone and the call routes back to the Q instead of through the speakers. I can get incoming calls fine though. Not sure what's up...
