I’ve hacked in some improvements and released a new version of RightSideUp. This version now includes a progress bar (which makes it more obvious to users what’s going on and how long it’ll take) and some pretty serious speed improvements in certain scenarios. The latter was the main reason I updated it as it was taking too long for me to deal with anymore given that I knew how to improve the speed on it significantly. So I went ahead and made the changes.

This will probably be the last version of RightSideUp with the existing code base. I’ll probably take a few hours to rewrite it all at some point in the future as it could really use some work in order to enable some other features I was thinking of adding.

You can download the latest version of RightSideUp from here. Note that this time I did not include a real setup.exe and instead opted to just provide the single executable necessary to run the application. Just double click rightsideup.exe and you should be up and running.

Also note that this version has now been built against the 2.0 version of the .NET Framework. If you need to install it, you can do so from Microsoft’s site.
