Way back when I first started using a PocketPC (I believe it was a Nino at the time) I remember really wanting some software to keep all my personal information on it. I thought I could write something myself but never got around to it. A couple of PocketPCs later, a friend of mine pointed me to Ilium Software’s eWallet product. This was exactly what I was looking for. It encrypts all your data and gives you the great feeling of knowing you have everything you could possibly need to know (Credit card numbers, pin numbers, passwords, frequent flier account numbers, etc.) on your device.
I just bought a new version (at least newer than the one I last used ages ago) of eWallet for Smartphones. It works great and is very usable via the smartphone. Only pain I went through were a few crashes initially (which were really frustrating me) until I discovered I needed to download and install another package to make it work on my phone. If you install it and run into some problems early on, you should check out this page with all the relevant info and download links. Once that was installed, everything worked as expected. The process definitely could have been smoother but at least I got it working in the end…
