Maybe I’ve just been out of the loop on this one, but I stumbled upon the internet archive today and had a good 15 minutes of fun looking at some old sites from 5-8 years ago. Some fun ones were: Google 1, Google 2, Microsoft, News.com (where the headline is “Apple acquires Next in stunning move”), Slashdot, Yahoo!, Netscape, Apple, and MTV. The archive is definitely extensive.
